So there is a thin argument to be made that they arguably have racist origins, but I doubt any modern interpretation could be said to have racist overtones.

If, say, you're using an image from the 70s film, I doubt it could be tenably said to be at all racist.

Am I the only one who finds this funny? What sort of reason is that!?!?
 
Theres a bloke on my street looks spit dab of an umpah loompah and the kids all shout it as he walks down the road. They've been doing it for years though and at christmas he beat one of the 10 year olds up and proper cracked, their on about sending him down now lol.
 
I'm not aware of any 3ft orange people in the world, unless you count David Dickinson with his legs cut off.
