IC - lemme know if you get your Conti tubes ok. I ordered 3 practically at the same time as you. They have now went "unavailable" on the site so I am hoping their stock system is a live one as I got the email confirmation ok....

Help!
I'm looking for a new mountain bike but haven't been keeping an eye on what's what for about 15 years now. Back then I had a GT but I don't know what's half decent these days.
My budget is up to £500, I've been looking on Evans Cycles, are these any good?

Cheers
Ooooh, that looks tasty. I'm hoping to pick one up through the cycle to work scheme though, it looks like they only sell direct which might scupper my plans.

Will do, expecting them in todays post.
Left it in so that the tube kept pressure until I got home. Will repair it tomorrow probably as I am absolutely shattered after what I thought was going to be a nice relaxing ride....
. Cue 2 sodden feet for the rest of the day. I didn't bother attempting the others
I swear someone up there don't like me

I'd personally go for the plain one out of the two.
Don't worry about carbon, get it helitaped up in the necessary places, decent chainstay protector and you'll be fine.

ok - looks less "obvious" i guess!
Could go for the black and gold colours scheme!![]()
The splash of colour on the red black highlights the frame nicely and stops the downtube looking so fat like it does on plain black.

so by that theory - a fat bird should wear red??![]()
Or they might look like a postbox.
