Stuck at home with mum

i based it on 2 adults spending 70-80 per week on a shop, which doesnt only include food, but other items such as washing stuff and toiletries etc, half that and yes it does cost that much per month, you just maybe dont realise it

It really doesn't. Including alcohol I spend on average £25/week. I just had a nice fillet steak for dinner too. Just need to spend wisely

1. Sell house, buy cheaper house in Newton Farm
2. Spend some of the savings on reinforced doors and stabvests.
3. ???????????
4. Profit

Stop being a sponge.

The best thing for your mum is too see the CAB, they can help her break it all down (help her collect the info etc). They can then see what is what, write to the companies etc to arrange a repayment plan, if not then I'm sure they'd explain an IVA to her, they have debt advisors they can recommend to her who can explain it further.

Is it a council property? Is she in arrears with it? Is the gas/electric/water/council-tax bills paid? They are the most important bills to pay.

I'd think about opening a new BASIC account with what she earns and those important bills only and present the info to the CAB for further instructions as I mentioned above.

Hi guys, thanks for all the advice again. My mum gets paid weekly and I get paid monthly, so whenever she gets paid, her money is gone pretty much instantly on debts and the rent. So then she is relying on me paying her rent for food/utilities etc... (believe me £300 doesn't last very long when you have to get food, gas, electric etc..)

soundb0y you used to live in Hereford? Don't live too far from Newton Farm as it goes lol.

I live near Hereford at the moment, my Location: Is my old uni addy.

Appologies for the above post lol it was in jest.... no one would reccomend Newton Farm
