Custom PC benchmark

hi, here is one of my old ones, dropped like a stone since the I7s:D
really needs a quad to get the multitasking score up, my qx9650 was at no 5 for ages till you know what appeared.

5.3 ghz? interesting....

ok so looking at other peoples results i suppose my score is about right for what i have. Think im held back a bit by my 6400 ram, even though its now running faster. Maybe my next upgrade sometime... :P

Anyway, benchmarks aside, the main thing is that i am getting smooth framerates in total war and fallout 3, i just need to re-install cubase and its drivers etc and hopefully that should run well too (the main reason i upgraded from an amd x2 was cos cubase kept crashing and running slow)

I was looking for a thread like this!

I've got very similar specs to the Custompc bench machine, except my RAM settings are all messed up from running two different types (HDDs might be a bit crap too tho tbh). Thought the e6850 would do a bit better though really.

At 3.0GHz score = 852
At 3.6GHz score = 950

Still haven't broken through that golden 1000 barrier :o

i think its a much more useful tool than say super pi to test your pc capabilities as it uses real world tests. Its still annoying when yopu dont get what you expect though! I still want to find a way of getting my multitask score over 1000!!

Anyone know how the scores are weighted? Got my CPU running 3.8GHz, but did the tests all separately and want to add them up!

They are:

Multi-Tasking: 616

Oh right, thanks for that! Hadn't realised.

Tested it with:

3.6 GHz E6850 and 2GB DDR 800 Corsair (instead of 4GB running at 667) and got 1085. Looks like the RAM was holding me back
