Hey guys,

Like I have stated 1000 times...My setup is all well....but...

In Core Temp, frequency reads: 333.02MHz (0.01 x 64043.0)

Why is this, I have checked other peoples and it is reading likes of: 3400.13MHz (100.00 x 34.0)

Yeah, I have the latest version of Core Temp and still not working in that respect.

Tried Real Temp and all is well bar the 0MHz and 100.00 x 0.0 in the multiplier :(

Sandybridge processors are currently not detected/identified correctly in the latest revision of Coretemp, although the temps are correct. There is an update being worked on now to fix this issue and it's well documented on the authors forum

Have you tried CPU-Z to check the multiplier and frequency?

Yeah, it is at 1600MHz and up to 4200MHz when under load...

us your pc set to balanced or power saver in control panel? if so try changing it to high performance

Thanks for that, I had it on balanced but changed it to high performance..but the Frequency on CT and Real Temp still are suspect? Hmmm.

I use Core Temp 0.99.8 and Real Temp 3.65.

Both report my 2600K correctly.

Can you please elaborate or show a screenshot, are you saying that your cpu model is displayed correctly on 0.99.8? because it doesn't on my 2600k and the frequency is not correct either. The temps are however, as already known, are correct though. I have built 6 or 7 of the sandybridge systems to date and all have the same issue when I used Coretemp. It is also well documented on the respective program forums that an updated version will rectify the issues too, so I cant see how it's working for you.

RTJ, you are worrying about nothing here matey, just enjoy it and wait for the updated coretemp/realtemp to arrive. the temps recorded by those programs are still correct regardless. Your idle temp seems absolutely fine to me.

Cheers man, I will take solace in this now that you have stated this!
