NV 560 or ATI 6950?

How do you define better? Best value? Best out right performance? Best features? Best overclocked performance? Best noise/cooling to performance?

In terms of outright performance the 6950 1Gb is the better choice if your running at 1080/1200 res although the 2Gb can be had for a few more quid but the benefit of the extra ram is limited to a couple of titles. In terms of value that depends on what price your going to pay but for stock versions of both cards you don't want to be paying more then £180 for a 560 and £190 for the 6950 although at this price range the GTX480 becomes a contender at £195 but its' hot hence loud and eats so much juice electric it will make your meter smoke but it's value based solely on price performance can't be denied.

If your looking at 560 Ti you should also consider the HD 6870, great overclocker, solid performance and better value then both the 6950 and 560 TI.

well the 6950 is pretty much the same price as a 560, but has 2gb of vram and can be unlocked to 6970 and then oc'ed

+1 6950. I'm a relative noob and unlocked mine with help from these forums and I'm happily at 6970 speeds now. The cards quiet too.

For only £20 extra than the 6870 or the same price as a 560, you can get the Msi 2gb 6950 which will at least unlock the shaders and more than likely run at 6970 speeds which imo, makes it by far the best card for value.
