No, but the only thing illegal about is the physical size of the plate. The vehicle registration mark itself is legal.

Just because a models life is nearly over does not mean they won't have such cars in R&D.

Development is different to production.I'd like to think such an M car is tucked away somewhere under a dust sheet in Munich.

"Under a dust sheet" isn't really what i'd call "in development", more like "an old test mule"

You're more than just a little hungover because that M3 touring looks badass, certainly wouldn't be able to take my eyes off that if I saw it on the roads... :eek:

I wonder what it's classified under with his insurer!

Also, I never knew BMW had a panoramic roof like that, thought it was Mercedes only!

Pointless when there's the M5 Estate.

I personally don't see the point of the 3-Series Touring normally... if you want an estate BMW get the 5-Series Touring.

You might see it as pointless but for someone to custom convert a car into something that looks authentic and is one of a kind it certainly is not pointless. Plus this shape 3 series looks meaner than the 5 series.

Wheels are horrid! But very nice conversion.

Edit : acctually the look better in other pictures, but the black and silver is all wrong.

It's just size wise that I don't see the point of the 3-Series Touring at all. Same with the Astra/Focus estate... completely pointless when there's the Vectra/Mondeo estate.
