I'm struggling to find something suitable. I'd like my PC off the carpet but don't like the look of all the rubbish grey things i'm finding on google. OcUK don't seem to have any either. Can anyone recommend a make / model? Wheels would be nice but can do without.

Just had a look and looks like case feet may well be what im after. I assume all cases have the same size screw hole at the bottom?

Nope. A lot of them don't have any holes, instead they use rubber footpads that are glued on. So you'll have to bust out a drill to make the holes and then get a threading bit to thread the hole you've just made to accept the thread pattern on the feet/wheels.

Clearing a bit of your desk and simply moving the computer to there is a much simpler method.

Hmm thanks, dunno if i can be arsed with that. No amount of clearing is going to make enough room, desk is tiny.

Some people make ones out of wood, since you can just make a frame and a top on it, so 4 bits of wood and a top piece of wood, take about 30 mins to an hours unless youve never sawed anything before.

Other options are case wheels etc, but they all need to be screwed on, so need drilling. Although you could just super glue the feet on instead and just pretend that you screwed them in?

diy skills so fail you dont know how to use super glue? lol

it mainly needs to be ona hard surface, so it limits the fluff directly under it. A piece of wood under it will do it, and if you want it raised, just nail two more pieces of wood (some of that stuff thats like 2" wide 1/2" depth) on each end soyou PC cansit on that? You only even need four nails :P

As other say just a piece of wood, I used a cheap cutdown shelf (same width as case). I originally stood the piece of wood on 2 bricks but later drilled 4 holes and fitted castors that are easily available from DIY stores. Much better than anything I saw to buy.
