I paid £119 for my combo

Tbh didn;t really need/want the E7 as using my Xonar dx straight into the E9 but thought the E7 might be useful when away from the computer and for £119 for the bundle, seemed worth having. Plus I will try usb into the E7/E9 combo and see how the dac performs versus the xonar dx.

Not tried the E7 on it's own yet, been too busy listening to music with the E9 with ANR OFF! :eek:

First impressions: I prefer the NS1000 with ANR off with the E9 and it seems to have enough grunt to drive these headphones fine. Oh it makes my old E5 seem very poor in comparison but to be fair the e5 was portable so should compare it to the E7.

I will add to your thread Uriel once I have finished my findings plus check the NS1000 out with the E7 on it's own.

I will be looking foward to the review, I just placed a order for goldring myself, from the rainforest site ( done by superfi) I m just looking for the best etailier for the E5....

If you don't mind ordering from Hong Kong (I did, no problems at all and delivery in less than 2 weeks, took only a week for me), it can be had for £12 or so on a popular auction site. The rainforest website has them for £17.
