If you're thinking of joking/putting down JEDI in the 2011 census, don't. Here's why...

When I first read this thread I thought it was rather amusing but having given it some more thought I've actually come to the conclusion that, far from this being due to people putting down jedi and falsely skewing the results, it is the government who have purposely used obvious erroneous data. Obviously no real Jedi exist and, therefore, they should have been ignored or discounted. It would appear that the government (or, more likely, individuals within the government) are using data that they are aware is incorrect to drive through their own personal agendas.
Therefore, I would suggest creating a site entitled www.stopusingfalsedatatolietovoters.com

It's a matter of their personal morals, not a public competition. They aren't calling themselves Catholic because they want to be seen as holier than thou, it's their God who judges them, not you.

I Lol'ed. A religion is a set of beliefs - as a Catholic you believe in the Bible and therefore should adhere to it's rules that are laid out or at least try to or what's the point in following that particular religion?

I've decided I am going to tick a random religion.

Why?....I hear you cry......

Because I do not like be told what I can and cannot do or believe by jumped up sanctimonious little hitlers like Richard Dawkins, so stuff him and his ilk, I'll damn well do as I please and if I want to tick a random religion or write Jedi or Church of All Worlds or just make one up in the spot I will and he can go to the Hell that neither he or I believe in.

So you're changing your behaviour because you're told to change your behaviour?

Why not just do what you were going to do in the first place or just answer honestly.

Howsabout I just tick the "religion is a crux for idiots and I don't want it having any effect on the real life governance of my country" box that will no doubt be in there.

*sits with flameproof hat on

Because I don't want to. I'm not changing my behaviour because I haven't done it yet, the previous census has a differently worded question.

However, I'm pretty sick of Atheist either co-opting my Agnosticism to support their own belief or telling me what I can and cannot do, so I am going to do the opposite of what they ask.

The more they shout, the more I'll be contrary.

It is funny that you call others idiots when you cannot use the right word to begin with.

It is "Religion is a CRUTCH...", not CRUX.:p

He could mean that it is a great point of contention for idiots (which is somewhat true)... ;)

By the way, you've removed one spelling mistake and added another. :p

You don't see the hypocrisy?
Coming from you Castiel, I'm not surprised.
I mispelled a word and you think I don't know what it means. That makes you more of an idiot than you think I am.
