Do you ever walk out of the front door and think 'sod it I'll walk'? I do, often as well. Sometimes before I even get ready for work, I think I'll just walk, It only takes about 10mins longer and is healthier to boot.

so any of you lot think that?

Nope, but it's 5 miles an I'm in a rural area. If it was 2/3 I'd always walk though.

I've been cycling for the past 6 months and although not by choice I really enjoy it. When I've got my licence back in May I'll probably keep cycling to work as much as I can. Maybe drive on Mondays and Fridays only instead.

Do you ever post a thread with the title giving a true reflection of the content?
Thought leading titles were meant to be banned or something

Would take too long (bit over an hour each way), cycled a few times but the hills are like roller coasters and it takes me half an hour to recover :)

Not any more as I'm now at University over in Bristol. But back when I was working - yes I walked every day. Only a mile and a half and really woke me up in the mornings :).

Nope as it's 32 miles! I wish I could though, It's one thing I miss about living in a town/city is how close everything is to you. <shakes fist at the country-side>

Mine is about 4-5 miles away, I've walked to town before and my work is just past so I recon it would take me about 1hour15mins. Considering I wake up at 7.45 to arrive ready to work at 8.30 I'm not even going to consider that.

Guy who lives a few roads down cycles most days and says it takes him 20mins, car is about 10 on a good day, 20 on a really bad.

I've walked to work for the last 3 years. The joys of living just around the corner, takes me about 8 minutes each way :) Before this, I had a 40 mile commute.

I've just got a new job (well, I have the choice of 2) and am moving house next week so will have to decide between a 6 mile or a 20 mile commute. Chances are I'll go with the closest job and wouldn't mind getting a push bike and cycling to work during the summer.

If not, I'll be driving.

no, it's 0.9 mile too work so way too far for me to walk :D

The only time I walk is when it's snowing, Beamers don't like the snow.

I walk Mon, Wed and Friday, not hugely far at about 2.5 miles each way, but nice to get some exercise... got evening college on Tuesday and Thursday so need to drive so I can go straight from work. Reduced car use is nice, probably saves me a tank a month.
