Personally I hate that case.

Also the Blue version of HDDS are sloooooow. For a cheaper price, get a Seagate Barracuda - the fastest mechanical HDD around.#

Also, unless you're using water cooling you will need lot profile ram, like this.

Also, with the K series chip I assume you'll be overclocking, so you'll need a decent cooler. The best "budget" cooler for SB is the Gelid Tranquillo. If you have ~£35 then get an Akasa Venom

Looks good to me! the AS5 TIM isn't really needed though as the Venom has some pre-applied.

The GTX480 is faster than a HD6950 for cheaper as well

Its even faster than a HD6970 - I assume you were thinking of flashing?

Yes but was thinking of CF in the future and I thought the GTX480 was a bit power hungry.

That's a fair point.

If CF down the line go with the HD6950 then. If you do flash it, and get another that flashes they'll perform pretty much identically to SLId GTX480s and draw less power.

However, according to anandtech it will still draw 601W in Crysis - so might be worth getting a beefier 750W PSU. This XFX Pro 750W would do it, but its not modular - dunno if that bothers you?

Looks fine, you can run CF6950s on that psu too and if you want decent thermal paste then go for the MX-3.(i wasn't that impressed by AS5 on load temps and it has curing time aswell.)

I am not sure how good the venom pre-applied paste is though.

Ok here we go, hopefully the last time now. Better PSU, skimped out a bit on the dvd drive and got the paste.

Looks great but i'll be an awkward sod now and say get this as hd http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-082-SA&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1279 it's worth the little extra cash for 500gb more.

Other than that it's fine and that psu is really good.
