So I know I'm the only person in the world who had not seen 'Inception' but now I have and I feel giddy like a schoolgirl. It is really rather good.

Please, post things that everyone else is aware of but you've just discovered.

fake edit : no mention of Monster Munch or Haribo.

I'm curious as to what you thought made it so good? I personally thought that the first half had the makings of a good film but the second half dragged and felt horribly contrived.

On the subject of good things I've just discoverd I'd say the album Opaline by Dishwalla, big in the states in 2003 and should have been massive over here!

Bad company 2 will last for years...online is awesome.

Inception - effects are outstanding but wtf is it all about?????? i even googled an idiot's guide and that was hard to grasp...

Its a very simple concept I found, I understood it way before the film ended. It is a decent film, but I was not blown away.

Also... Nothing so far!

Watched "Unthinkable" last night on Sky movies. Never heard of the film before but thoroughly enjoyed and well worth a watch.

To be fair anything with Samuel L Jackson playing a badass is.

I love how people who say how simple the film was to understand, but then never explain it. :D

I wouldn't say it was simple but I think I understood it!

My gripe with the film was that they spent the first half building up all these rules of the dream which was very cool and then in the second half came up with a contrived situation which allowed them to cancel most of these rules like the 'you die you wake up' one just to allow them to build up the tension. Throw in the 'you need to dream bigger' moment which was then forgotten and it just became a poor action movie at the climax.

I saw that, it was pretty hardcore, and that british actor was very good in it (same guy that played Tony Blair in that other movie and he was in The Damned United). Recently I saw Faster, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which I obviously expected to be awful. But despite the many flaws in the film I enjoyed it.

i too really dont get the hype of inception. Pretty simple to follow/figure-out, a novel idea, but not groundbreaking. Shutter island was more "interesting" imo.

Read the OP for crying out loud, this is not an Inception discussion thread.

I recently discovered Lie To Me, my sisters had been banging on about it for months but I just never bothered, I just finished watching the most recent episode and am loving it.

But it's not a movie thread and they belong in the other place. :)

Not sure you're getting the point of this.
