Whilst I wouldn't start a thread singing its praises, that loaf is one of my favourites. I particularly enjoy it with a big of marg, smoke salmon trimmings and a few crips lettuce leaves. Also good toasted with smooth peanut butter.

I think a toast thread is more of an uplifter than one about the secondary phase of the toast you just ate and its journey into the deep and the dark below the ground

I disagree. This loaf amused me for a week and then I was fed up of it. I now prefer Hovis Granary original.

Bread in OP is a very average bread and only really suited to toast. I have never tasted better bread than from the Vietnamese Bakery down the road. It is the best thing.
