Basically my cat knocked a ornament onto my G13 and broke the G1 key nothing else just a plastic key worth about 50p

Explained this to logitech and asked if i could purchase a replacemnt key.

Basically my reply i got from them was. No worries sir we'll send you a brand new G13 Instead:eek:

How can anyone ever fault there service, granted they probably makes millions a year but sending me a whole new unit when i just requested a G1 key was pretty EPIC.

Just thought i'd share

With the number of such stories I've heard over the years, I can only assume they think the increased number of loyal customers will cancel out the cost of replacing all this hardware. :D

Your probably right, i wonder how many people would pick logitech over a similar specified product after hearing all these stories.

Yeah, their support is a little bonkers at times. One of the LEDs stopped working on my Brothers Z-5500's. They sent him and whole new set and told him to keep the old ones.

That's great support.

Great to know as I've recently bought a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Do need to worry if it goes wrong.

Having tried Roccat and Razer and not having a great experience with their quality I'm probably going logitech for all my gear from now. The only peripheral I have that remains solid and reliable is my trusty G11 which is getting on now.

Yeah. Their trade in programme is pretty awesome too. Just promise to send any old piece of kit back to them (prepaid postage) and they will give you 20% off anything over £49.99 straight away.

I likey Logitech.

What bad experience you had with razer?

The mouse (deathadder i believe) quite typically after the warranty had expired (2 years i think it was advertised with at the time) started squeaking on the right click and the mouse wheel plus the cable had began to play up and become unresponsive or not respond correctly on an intermittent basis. So binned it and got a Roccat Kone (the 3200 dpi + version) and that now squeaks when scrolling up quickly (less than 6 months old).

However my mum is using my 10 year old logitech wireless mouse which still soldiers on despite being batted about by my 9 year old brother. Hell my G11 has survived drink and food barrages, I really do think their gear is top dog when it comes to quality, unfortunately I don't like the shape of their mice.

Similar story with my Illuminated keyboard from them..the 6 key on the numeric keypad came off..no big deal..but sent them a pic explaing that it jsut cliked off and the hinge had broke..could ya please just send me a new key and hinge and I can fit it myself...they actually went and sent me a whole new keyboard!

They Replaced my Z5500's for a Brand new set when just the LED backlight on the Control pod stopped :D

They really are top quality. :)
