Would have to run most top end gfx based games ( Crysis, Civ5, Metro2033, Badcomp2 ... etc )

Was looking at the gtx480 but its really loud and runs really hot so its a bit offputting

If the power draw wasn't so high then yes, I personally would. However, since I wish to consider economy more in the future, I would therefore opt for one of the other comparable cards.
