Hi there

My daughter and son (18 moths and 3) are at a great age to go to disneyland and America is out of the question with price.

So what I would like to know is how much does it cost to actually go once all the costs are added in?

It would be for my wife and two kids.

Was it fun, worth it?

Any experience would be appreciated. If you know of any great deals then that would also be appreciated.

Thanks

I went for free thanks to nouvelle toilet roll so i'm no help on pricing.

However I wanted to say that surely they're not of a great age to go, they seem far too young and will never remember it. especially the 18 month child... I personally suggest waiting a few years yet, and then they will enjoy it far more and be able to go on more rides.

Well we went a couple of years ago and stayed at the Disney hotel 'New York' We did one of those deal where we paid for 3 nights and got the fourth night 3. If memory servers correct the holiday cost about £1300.

That cost was for 2 adults, 2 children, breakfast and park tickets......and going via Euro Star from St Pancras.

Disney land Paris is not cheap! especially with the how the Euro is at the moment. You have to factor in spending money and monies for covering meals! On thing we did:o and allot of other hotel guests did was to grab extra food at breakfast. i.e bread rolls ham etc to make as a pack lunch :D

Not cheap, I think I ended up paging a grand (in total including spending money) or so for a long weekend with the ex.

I'd agree with this though to be honest. Especially the 18 month old.

I have to agree with this, 3 years and 18 months aren't really the best age, I'd wait until your youngest is 3-4, this would also give you plenty of time to save up to go to the big one. ;)

I'd say they are too young imo.
There are so many deals that getting there and tickets/rooms are cheap.
Food in the parks is expensive and at busy times a nightmare to purchase.

i went years and years ago, it was good, apart from they r all french and u have to go to the toilet in a hole in the floor lol,, like some one else said, save up a bit more and goto america

I went to Disneyland in Orlando and thought it was pretty crap, attractions wise it's nothing compared to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure or Busch Gardens.

I doubt the Paris one will be much better, don't get me wrong I'm sure it'd be enjoyable taking some youngsters and getting satisfaction through their enjoyment but as a 'grown up' I found it really dull.

Never been to the Paris one, never will.

Have been to Disneyworld in Florida and Disneyland in California, found the California one to be the best, as I suppose you'd expect as its the original. But yeah, at the ages you mentioned , I'd say thats too young, take them to Legoland Windsor instead.

They are far too young.

You wouldn't believe how some children that are too young burst in to tears when they see characters because they are afraid of them!

5+ is a far better age.

You can also then save up for Florida!

They are young.

But I went to DLRP 2 years ago, stayed for 2 nights B&B at the "Dream Castle" hotel which is not a Disney brand hotel, but is on the same lot as the Disney hotels.
It's known as a Disney Selected Hotel, so you still get the shuttle buses to the parks, and the shopping service (can get any souvenirs you buy in the parks during the day sent to your hotel so you don't have to cart them around).
For a room for 4 people it was £83 per night. This was in June, and the Dream Castle is 4*. The same 2 nights at the Santa Fe (pretty much Disney's cheapest, 2*) was around £140 a night.

I've also stayed at the Explorers Hotel which is also a selected one, but maybe more family friendly than the Dream Castle - has a pool, indoor adventure playground which is a big pirate ship, a pizza restaurant...

There are ways to do it and keep it cheaper, we made sure we ate lots at breakfast time so we only wanted a snack or a sandwich at lunchtime, rather than going to one of the restaurants, but it's all the souvenirs that your children will want where they make their money.

Having said that I worked for the Walt Disney Company at the time so my park tickets were free and I got 25% off all shopping and food so that helped ;)

Still spent about £500 over the 2 nights/3 days.

As others have said though, I'd wait a couple of years - your 3 year old is just about old enough to appreciate it but your 18 month old is a bit young.

I had a trip to Florida aged 4-5 and barely remember it tbh. Definately wait a few years and if you can, save for a trip to the Orlando resort, lots more there. I do remember being very keen on the whales which I saw at Sea world when I went, you'd miss out on this at Paris, though the Sea world shows aren't what they used to be.
