EBC Bluestuff

Ive heard they are absolutely fantastic, a real big step forward for EBC and are a very good competitor against Carbotech XP8/XP10's. :)

Endurance pads for 6 hours of track abuse? Says they are slightly less effective than the others but longer lasting? Doesn't seem the best option for a fast road car IMO.

Got yellows on my MX5, need a little warming up to be fully effective but I think I need to change my fluid and lines. Before warming up they are worse than OEM, but I think that's a fluid thing. Reminds ,me, another job to do!

I have only yesterday changed all my pads to Bluestuff NDX. First initial impressions after a drive around the block.. very bitey in comparison to what I had before and they were stone cold too. So from very first impressions I like them, but I am yet to really use them. Will report back soon :)

I've fitted Bluestuff NDX's all round on my Impreza last week and I have to say that I am very impressed. Very strong bite from cold and I'm hoping they'll take punishment on the track when I go to Silverstone a week thursday. They are a massive step up from the stock Ksport pads that came with my big brake kit and the standard subaru pads I had on the rear...

EBC Blue are superb pads, well worth buying. :)

But as Dup points out, they don't seem to make too much sense for fast road cars going by the press reading.

I've got yellows to go on the back. I think I'll be going for Carbotech on the front (£200 a set though :()

The K-Sport kit I am interested either comes with either

the original K-Sport pads (+£0)
EBC Bluestuff (+£99)
Ferodo DS2500 (+£181)

Now I've heard the K-Sport pads are pretty crap, and have been told the Bluestuff are good for both fast road and track (ScoobyDoo69 and McHaMmEr seem to confirm this).

Now seeing they are half the price of DS2500s, is there a good reason not to go for them?

Carbotech well worth money too, just make sure its the XP8 or XP10. :)

Definitely go for the Bluestuff pads if you're going to buy the k-sport kit, £99 is a decent price and they are far superior to the k-sport pads. Are you buying the 8 pot 330mm kit?

I was at a trackday today at Donnington with some Cliosport members and one guy there with blue stuff pads said they were terrible

People have rated these pads better than the DS2500s on scoobynet...

The EBC bluestuff is deinetely better than DS2500. :)

Guys on the EVO forum have had very good results, on the X as well, its a superb road pad and seems to compete well against the carbotech XP8/XP10 but gives of less dust.

Yep that's the one. Decided on the K-Sport over the Wilwood 330mm in the end..

Sounds just what I'm after :D

Went for a little drive last night to get fuel and to see what these pads are like. Fantastic bite and feel compared to my previous pads, really good hard pedal compared to before. I didn't press them too hard as they're still new, but wow, massive improvement. Very impressed :)

Just to clarify - Bluestuff NDX are the pads. And the discs are some 3 years old !

Mine arrived yesterday.. will be pairing them with 8 pot calipers and 330mm discs.

Am away in Sweden with work next week but will write up a review once I am back and they are fitted :).
