Superewza you haven't really said what you are marching for other than some kind of idealist utopian paradise or something.

Do you have any realistic ways of achieveing these goals?

I consider myself a liberal but I totally understand why the world and polotics is like it is and feel that even with the best intentions it is going to take a long time yet.

Look at the state of Africa and the Middle East and total lack of democracy or rights in China.

America could make a few changes but I feel a lot of Europe is as liberal as possible without going bankrupt. infact we are.

Ah, I'll confess.

I'm going along to march peacefully against the cuts with the Union folk :)

I (and many others as I'm sure you'll see) don't agree with what the Government are doing. It's that simple. I'd rather not be shot down in flames for having a personal opinion and actually acting upon it.

Viva la revolution!

*Note, Just because I'm protesting against cuts, don't stereotype me in to being something I might well not be. Not everyone has the same view point of people in this thread, for or against the cuts.

There wasn't any need for the personal insults earlier in the thread either, pleased to see them removed :)

Was just wondering if anyone else was going? :)

Ironically, if people behaved like grown ups, then the money saved on boarding up prior to the 'march', the money saved policing the 'march', the money saved on cleaning up after it, the money saved on the hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of repairs required following the 'march' and the money wasted prosecuting and on precious few occasions imprisoning the thugs and petty vandals, could be better spent bolstering our economy.

I'm not against having a real march as a form of protest, but this country is incapable of doing so without going too far. People self indulgently think that the way they behave is 'right' simply because they aren't getting their own way.

think you're forgetting about the amount of peaceful protests!!
have you looked at egypt and libya etc lately?!?!

Water cannon, the more the better, give them a good soaking.

My days when i was your age i was playing football or pokemon. Whats the point in taking life so seriously at that age when you have the rest of your life to worry and protest.

Why do you think the government should continue to spend money it doesn't have?

Government ties is why the Government lies, read it yourself instead of asking the Government why :)

I don't want to be drawn in to a tit for tat argument about politics and privatisation ect :)

I just made this to ask if anyone else was attending.

I do spend my days playing football and pokemon ;) :p

I'll be watching the football. :)

Is this yet another dig at my ever increasing depression due to the horrific form of Sheffield Wednesday? :p

It's gotten to the point where I'd rather march against the Tories then watch Sheffield Wednesday haha

We'll be supporting Superwaza's red revolution by spending some of our hard earned capitalist dosh. :D
