Nuclear explosions require ~90% pure nuclear material
Nuclear reactors use ~5-10% pure nuclear material
It is literally impossible for a nuclear reactor to explode like a bomb. Explosions are caused by buildups of hydrogen gas
No matter how bad it gets it can't reach chernobyl levels, that reactor actually totally blew up at full power and spread the radioactive dust everywhere.
I wonder what I'm going to wake to in 6 hours![]()

Very few of us are experts on nuclear power, so constantly doom-mongering about how it's obviously going to do XYZ complete with up to the minute copy+paste from the BBC website is serving no purpose at all. It's as if some of you are subconciously willing for it to get worse!
It's such a sad situation, lets not get our kicks from doom-mongering and pretending to be Wiki-powered Nuclear experts![]()
