As [FnG] said... Northerners, breakfast, dinner, tea... us Southerners, generally Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner... either way.

I suppose also is it; dinnerlady or lunchlady ?

lunchlady... wtf. just doesn't sound right:p

LOL! this is pretty funny actually - I've had this conversation a good few times here in the North. I'm actually a southerner living in the North, so I have this discussion every now and then when I mention I'm off for lunch etc and they are like 'wtf'. :p

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea is usually some snack late at night if you're feeling festive I thought...
then again I am a heretical Welsh person, these english words perplex me.

I had this very same issue this weekend when I was visiting in Manc :p

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Sometimes may call it Tea, but it has always annoyed me! :D

As people have said, Tea is a hot drink made from Tea leaves, not a meal.

Dinner sounds too heavy for lunch, lunch in my eyes is a light pasta meal or a sandwich style stuff you know? Not dinner with chucks of meat and potatoes and vegetables :(
