I'm being presumptious but I bet you are not expected to work for hours and not be paid and you go home (which is not far away) without being mentally or physically tired.
You've probably got it right.

Red Bull it is mate.

I applied for a job there and made it past the first round of interviews. Didn't get the job though. :(

I got interviews at Honda and Renault but just couldn't get on the ladder. I eventually got offered a job outside F1 and I accepted it. There's only so long you can keep hoping for.

Very true. Sometimes dream jobs come with hours you could live without. Averaging 14hr working weeks, maxing out at 24-28hrs isn't as fun.

Isn't it funny how the thread title read - "What do you do for a living?" Yet most peeps read it as - "What is your job title?"

In my experience what someone's job title is usually tells one very little and very often means very little too.

I work on the Underground.

The last few years have seen the job deteriorate immensely. I used to supervise a team of three, do a few hours per day selling tickets and generally keep myself busy. Now, since the swingeing cuts to ticket office staff and opening hours, I'm pretty much a walking customer complaints department.

Sigh - 47 years old and 27 years on the tube. How bloody stupid am I?
