I was there on a shoot at the weekend. It was fine. All my friends there are still going to work every day. Media spin is nothing new.

There's a Bahraini on another forum I visit. Here's what he had to say.

We are witnessing genocide, thugs in civilian clothingattacking all villages, shooting live ammuniation, bodies on the streets, they attacked sitra hospital and took it over and now sorrounding the biggest hospital we have (salmaniya) They are shooting frm cars, helicopters and ambulances, gun fire wont stop outside my house, there is no protestors here it is a quiet nice village and they came out of no where shooting randomly at houses and cars and anyone outside.

Please save us, spread the word in your respected countries, your governments, HELP US, check twitter for details, or msg me and ill add you on fb or whatever for you to see for yourself.

ha ha ha the propaganda machine at full steam ahead. When will people realize the mainstram media is not people friendly. Its not their to inform you of news. Its is there to give you a version of events to bring in certain laws you would otherwise object to or create conflict for other interests or gain power.

Please stop watching the bbc...sky..etc....you do yourself no favours apart from being programmed.....lol

The Sheeple like being programmed. It saves them from having to think for themselves, which apparently most can't manage. Just look how many people buy Tabloids and then quote from the stories like it's the gospel truth!

The media should be a tool for education but their lack of scruples and moral authority have the opposite effect. There are exceptions of course, but even well respected war-correspondants will tell you that, often, what looks like a riot on camera is sometimes just a bunch of civvies having fun when the camera was switched on.

He jokingly mentioned he'd nearly run out of mixers via email a couple of days ago.
A day or so before that he wrote.

"Hold fire, the tanks are rolling in as I type"

He's lived there for 12 years and not in a hotel
