Which would be best?

A friend of mine has an ATI 5770 and wants to upgrade.

Would he be best off getting another 5770 to use in crossfire or would he be better off getting a better single card?

He has £170 max to spend.

Probably best getting a new single card. For the £170 I would get a GTX 460 or 470. Stretch it to about £200 and get a GTX 480.

Is that max max? can they stretch to £180 for a gtx560? or even £200 for the OC deal on gtx480?

He'd be better off selling the 5770 and replacing it with either of the above.

Failing him not being able to buy one until after the deal runs out, a 560.
