I've made a purchase and its bright yellow!

Absolutely stunning, and I'm glad you went with the C2S - like I've said all along, it's definitely the pick of the bunch you were looking at :)

This has given me some motivation to get to a meet at some point :D

Looks lovely. Yellow really suits it - Friend of mine has a yellow Cayman and it's lush.

Good choice, enjoy it! :)

Congratulations mate. I think you've made a fantastic decision. I look forward to seeing this at the next meet you have it! Awesome car.

Lovely car and great price.

I wasn't sure about the colour at first as I've always seen Porches as the sensible man's supercar but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Brave choice of colour and i would have avoided ceramics, but good for you, enjoy that!

Thats a decent dealer you bought that from too by the way.

A beauty and I love the wheels, with the two tone of the diamond cut finish round the lip.

Random question - why are break calipers often positioned as they are on the Porsche, on the wheel hub? I.e. the front ones at the back and the back ones at the front? I'm sure there's a good engineering reason.

It places the masses closer to the centre of the car, slightly reducing the polar moment of inertia.

I’ve been reading your road-tests with avid interest and have to admit from your shortlist I’m surprised by your final choice.

All I can say is beware, be very aware and tread carefully until you get used to it.

What do I base these comments on? Well A few years ago I had a GT3 mk2 and whilst it had a fantastic engine that sounded amazing when being revved out, I just couldn’t get used to the handling. I can definitely relate to your comment that it feels a scary car to drive at 30mph! The first time I drove one the salesman was encouraging me to go faster and I remember saying that I was going as fast as I felt comfortable at down this particular road. And this is from someone who has had a lot of experience of FF, FR and MR cars and has done a lot of kart racing. I’ve seen pics of experienced drivers drifting 911’s through corners and I know a lot of people swear by them but it wasn’t the car for me. You will soon experience the 911 trait of the front feeling very light and bobbing as you drive along. Maybe it was just my particular car and I should have had the geometry checked, but it always felt as if the front tyres were on a knife edge. The bottom line was that it wasn’t a car that felt planted to the road and inspired confidence when pressing on. I went on a track day and spun at the first corner and almost lost it a couple of times after that whilst on the brakes. After I sold it I heard that the new owner had it stolen and the scrotes lost control and wrote it off a mile down the road. I went via a T350C (very fast and lots of character, but also poor handling) to an Exige S which was sublime and inspired bags of confidence.

Anyway, good luck with your new purchase and enjoy!

P.S. I remember admiring your Mustang outside your old premises and it sure looked the business.

Can you get hold of these wheels?

If I could I would not, the wheels as they are I like them a lot and I feel they suite the car, so as I like them to change them would cost 3-4k and be a waste of money. Be money far better spent on OPC warranty and PSE. :)
