Since when have the rebels had planes?

since its a military coup and you are beeing mislead by the western media...

these aparent civlians/protestors whatever you want to call them have tanks and jets lol.... dont even try to tell me they were peaceful protestors who took up arms because gaddafi atacked them im not stupid they thought they could take the country by force so tried, its probably just another power hungry military person behind it all.

which is why they have all the outdated military tech all the new stuff went to gaddafis sons because they can be trusted.

You seem to be thinking that the only possible future conflict would originate from an Arab nation.

Millions of Iraqi people dead, nice.

You have no idea how many people would have died without military intervention, and in addition to this you have no idea how many of those who have died can be put down to the action which has taken place.

Yes it's very sad that some of our lads have come back in body bags, and in an ideal world it would be nice if this never happened, however you have no idea what threat these country’s could have posed to us in the future, even without military action being taken against them they have never been pro west.
Assuming you are referring to Iraq, what threat to the west did that nation pose! More people have died since the west intervened!

Uh no. The entire east, including a portion of the military, rebelled. The rebels aren't a bunch of shop owners and students arming themselves with stuff laying around, it's being commanded by the defected portion of the military that support the rebellion, including the hardware that was under them.

The Western media happily pointed that out very early on and have done several reports on how the shop owners and students were being trained by defected military... so on the deception level the media isn't doing to well if that is it trying.

I hope so. It sounds like banghazi is getting a bit of a battering from the artiliary and tanks. :(

We have an end time of 3pm now, but that's doesn't mean the go ahead hasn't already been given to run some sorties, the Nimrod and Sentinal have probably been operating outside of Libyan airspace for a while now, plus it's 1000 miles from Cyprus (that's if they allow us to fly out of the base).

Maybe they could take off from Saudi Arabia. ;)

Its a bit of a master strke by gaddafi, say you have a cease fire...then whilst everyone is confused grab as much land as you possibly can, knowing the UN resolution does not extend to feet on the ground. Then once gaddafi has grabbed this land back, it will be next to impossible to make him concede it to a rebel group without an all out land war to remove him from power completely...
