I've just seen that French Air Force Jets have been flying all over Libya but they found nowhere safe they could land to surrender so they returned to base.

It's so funny watching the US / France / UK speaking about these things, all very professional and well thought out speeches.

Then you go to Libya and it looks like the show is being run by a two year old.

David Cameron, “The time for action has come, we need to be urgent”

It's probably starting as we speak.

So what's the chances of a Tornado being shot down like one of the rebels aircraft 'may' have been?

I noticed sky keep saying it was shot down, but it just as likely suffered some kind of failure having been "reconditioned"?

Higher than i would like, air to air, not much, surface to air is the big problem now.

But Tornado's can target ground installations from 1,000 miles away iirc and launch a cruise missile at it.

You need to take out the longrange stuff and work your way inland, most of it's based on the coast.

Cameron is certainly coming across very well in his handling of this situation.

It's a shame that the international approval hasn't been as clinical as it ought to be.

anyone still watching sky? the guy said the French planes were jamming/blocking radar? i thought the president just meant he was stopping any gaddafi aircraft from flying, or is this the same thing? sorry for noobness:p
