Too soon for hitler to be in civ 6/total war?

I know this may sound..weird... but id love to see hitler as a german civ leader in civilization 6. Can you imagine the Caricature?? There are other dictator in the game. (lol ive not played civ 5 yet..so he may be in that)

Id kind of like to see a hitler: total war (like napoleon:total war) Being in the era of WW1 & 2. Although they would have to work the Holocaust into the game, and i do believe that it is too soon to feature such an awful era in human history into a light hearted game.

Do you think its too soon to feature a dictator like hitler in games like total war or civilization?
 
To be honest , I'm not sure that total war would work terribly well within the "modern" setting. Not sure the battle mechanics would work too well.
 
Well I doubt anyone would be sick enough work the genocide of a minority into a game but you can't anyway, at least if you want to sell it in all countries.
 
As the leaders in Civ tend to be almost symbolic of the nation, I doubt Germans would be massively impressed with Hitler being their poster boy. I would even prefer Civ games to move to fictional leaders that change with the era than the system they have now... I always feel a bit harsh picking on Ghandi regardless of how much of a ***** he is being.

Same here! :( can never attack gandy without feeling bad for the old boy.
 
can understand why it would bother some people but on the other hand, i don't see why he shouldn't be included in games! As you said, a lot of other dictators have been in games so *shurgs*

As somebody said above, they may have trouble selling it in some countries

It's tactfully done though. There aren't any swas-sticker's (sp?) etc, and nothing really on the holocaust, it just focuses on events such as the Annex of Austria, and Slovakia etc, and the invasion of Poland.

If it's a history based game, then it needs to be accurate. I can't see Hitler in a Civ game, as its inappropriate, as there are other leaders they can choose with far less controversy.

In a total war game set in WW2 then yes, he should be in, as they are historical based games. I can't see any issue with making a WW2 total war-esque game with Hitler in

I must ask, what are these games missing without Hitler being there? Do you actually want to play as Hitler, or maybe play against him? To turn what I have said on its head, what would Hitler add to any of these games?

EDIT: I dont think its a question of too soon or anything, I just dont think there is anything to be gained from having Hitler in a game such as Civ.
