Do any of you live with symptoms the doctors can't diagnose?

Pain in my left shoulder. Very sharp pain, rotating my shoulder or just moving it quickly, pushing myself up on my elbow when I'm laying down... all results in very sharp pain in my shoulder.

After x-rays and physio it's still no better, was told it was a problem in my neck, but the nerves that are damaged feed my shoulder which is why I feel it there.

Can't remember when it started, there isn't an event that sticks in my mind - has been suggested it's my posture but no problems with my other shoulder and have really worked to improve my posture to no avail. Maybe I'll sort it one day. Or go for acupuncture or something.

I know we're not supposed to give medical advice on here so I won't, but to Drossla,Shifty,Rizo and Cleeeco. Look up yeast, fungal infections. But most notably research 'candida albicans overgrowth' or just 'candida', it's a very common problem in men and women and can cause all of the symptoms you describe.

Doctors often don't recognise it as a factor in illness because it is a naturally occuring fungus in the body so it's difficult to diagnose an overgrowth.

Currently 2 and a bit weeks into the diet. Eggs followed by meat and then meat again for dinner. It's ******* terrible.

Ringing in my ears, seemed to develop about a year ago and my GP is clueless. I know exactly what it is, tinnitus, but apparantly there's no wax buildup so nothing can be done.

I've never exposed my hearing to anything ridiculous enough to cause this yet here it is, and I'm only 20.

Same.. Right Ear.. 1 Year Ago Started.. GP Clueless.. 19 Years Old.. WCYD

Keep it up mate, it'll work but takes time, it's all about rebalancing the body.

You can eat all vegetables and salads you know other than root veg, doesn't have to be just meat and eggs. You can eat all fats too, loads of butter and coconut oil will help.

This website has loads of good information regarding candida, how to rebalance it and some good candida recipes.

Not going to do it for more than 4 weeks. it's killing me. Thanks though.

I had an enlarged spleen for years and nothing ever came up on blood tests etc I ended up taking months at a time off school.
It came up in conversation recently, i was in so much pain i couldnt go over speed bumps etc.
Im better now but it took years.

tinnitus, in both ears. same amount. i've had it since i can remember. i kept telling my mum i can hear ringing, she didn't believe me. i'm 24.

Not anymore, but my chrons disease took well over 2 years to be properly diagnosed. My symptoms were put down to irritable bowel syndrome or ulcerative colitus.

Had to go for tons of different tests at hospital. Enemas and x rays and specialists sticking their fingers up my butt. Thats how I knew for sure I wasnt gay btw. Having a guys finger up your butt is NOT fun :(

Constant pain in one testicle. They've even cut me open and had a look - nothing amiss. Could be much worse - nearly all of the time I can set aside the pain and function normally.

Got a bundle of things wrong with me at the moment and no diagnosis, but that's largely down to my test results disappearing somewhere. Thyroid malfunctioning is pencilled in, but without test results the doc's making educated guesses based on most probable causes. Not my idea of a fun time - it could be other things, some of which are fatal. I'd rather like to know.

This is the last time i google some medical term off these boards. Always turns up pictures of penises :(

Have had a constant pain in my left leg for about 8 years, feels like a small balloon is in there being inflated, doctors think I have a shot knee and the knee is causing the pain by putting pressure on nerves.
Toes on my left foot dislocate themselves at random as well and on occasion my foot has 'locked' with a long white line looking like a thin bone or some such pushing out from the arc of my foot.

Despite refusing painkillers at one appointment as I wanted the problem fixed not hidden a doc at one hospital still gave me a 15min lecture on wasting his time trying to score painkillers.
