Last year when the local bus services were delayed due to snow (I couldnt get my car out) the only way of following service updates was using the bus companies facebook page - they had removed the live update page on their own website in favour of a facebook page.
It's this sort of thing that frustrates me, and in the long term, is more and more companies placing their net presence into the hands of a private company really that prudent?
Exactly, it's like saying "I don't see what all the fuss is about" when referring to mobile phones, or email, or television. It's another method of communication.![]()
I love facebook, plenty of companies i buy from put discount codes up on there, couldnt imagine going without it now.
email me in trust with your facebook if you make one so you can drop me a invite
I would but I have no idea how to locate the invites. I cant see where on the website I'd get them from.
1. Make a facebook account with fake or minimal details
2. Access your /b/tard website whatever it is
3. Don't make whiney topics
Everyones a winner!
I'm annoyed at this also. I go to comment on a site or whatever and it's Facebook only. I have a Facebook account, but I'd rather not have everyone on it see what websites I go and comment on, etc.
Also, everyone else who looks at the comment section will now know who you are.
Another person who's posted and missed the point of the topic. My question was "how far do you think it will go?"
It wasn't to whine, believe it or not.

Facebook doesn't provide, to me, any services that are worth the loss of privacy, as lets face it Facebook is purely there to data mine and sell your information,
