The cable thing is hidden I think, so you basically have the end of the audio cable in the arm rest and hide the iPod attached to the cable in there.
I did a search for 335i SE or M Sport with less than 60k, in manual, with leather, nav and bluetooth for under £20k and got 2 cars nationwide!
It's an option on top of the USB audio interface that lets you use a snap-in adapter to connect an iPhone to the USB port more neatly.

I'm talking about bog standard iPod support (iPod Classic 80GB) and not an iTouch or iPhone, does this make any difference?

I'm not in the position to buy at all, I was sorta just asking why that one was so cheap and can't believe you have to spec for £210 iPod support + more for BT + more for voice control when it's been standard on some cheap hatchbacks for a few years now.
