Pokemon White/Black

T'was a easy (if confusing for a pair of half cut tired pokemon trainers :p) trade.

I'm going to play through all my Pokemon games again, Really enjoying Black. Not started on White yet :p

Shame you can't trade up from Red / Blue :p I'm looking forward to playing through all the DS games though.

Hm, id do Emerald, Platinum, then HG/SS. You can pick the first two up pretty cheaply now and they have both legendaries from their respective versions, so Emerald has the legenderies from LG and FR, and Platinum gives you access to both Diamond and Pearl...

and HG/SS have so much shelf life, with their being 16 badges to get in total, plus double sets of starter pokemon... where normal Pokemon games only have the 8 gym badges and only 1 starter...

Thing is if you press on and actually finish HG/SS you will get access to so many legendaries:

its basically a compilation of all prior legendaries with the exception of some of the regi's available in EMerald:

problems being that i dont think you can still get the mysticticket you need to get to Naval Rock, or to get Mew or DEOXY...

Thats why i had to buy Action Replay GBA so that i could get access to it...

I have all those so might restart and give that a go.

I really do want some of the other special pokemon via events and such but they're so hard to get.

How do you get the clones?

Yep they are. Such a daft idea, but ah well. They should release them in to the game, but make they very hard to get.

Found a pretty decent Kyurem, most stats were average but the special attack was boosted (modest nature) and still 2 off max and then the speed was max. Still it's not my favourite legendary so don't plan on using it lol.

Done everything I can on the game from what I know but I'm curious about one thing. When I found the seven sages the police guy said there was a possible report or something on N showing up far away? Can you battle him again or something?

Cloning requires someone to be able to access pokesav and basically edit the saved game to copy/paste the Pokemon to create a copy of the original.

For instance I have a cloned Landon s Groudon. I.e the groudon was caught legit by Landon with adamant nature and good (not perfect) IVs. He made it redistributable by cloning it and trading it on. Thing is if you catch a great state legendary that you can't breed no one is going to trade it unless you have cloned it first...

Just got these two games after reading this thread & as a result nostalgia has kicked in and have managed to dig out my old Red/Blue/Yellow & Ruby as well as getting hold of Diamond and Pearl for cheap.

Looking forward to playing white for a few hours tonight.

Damn this thread, Damn'd it :P

Nice work! Dont feel too bad about it. Pokemon is like smoking, you can pretend to quit but all you're doing is delaying the time between the next battle...

Impressed if you have all the carts all the way back to R/B/Y.

Only thing is once you have played White/Black and HG/SS the older games are a bit slow and ponderous in places due to either no bikes, no running shoes or over reliance on pressing A to scroll the text...annoyingly at times...

This is my latest edition to the household...

Yes im sad, but im hoping its value could one day increase...

I had the same thought a couple years back when i had another pokemon nostalgia flare up. The result was this

imag0111r.jpg

as for the pokemon games it gets worse, just found Silver and have placed an order for HG & SS. Also watching for mint versions of red/blue/yellow on the bay.

I need help.

I can see that you do, indeed need help.

You would be well to buy Emerald and forget ruby/sapphire and maybe platinum too...

The problem with the original GB carts is that the pokemons cant be transfered to the GBA games, whereas even the first GBA pokemon games can be traded forward thusly to B+W. Not easily but they can at least.

Ill have a search for emerald and if i can find platinum for cheap ill go for that too.

Started white and went Snivy, did some digging around and seems to be the weakest of the starters, prefer the weakest to start as it forces you to level other pokes and create a team early on.
