[UPDATE] Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek GmbH stated that his last interview with PCGamer had been altered and that he is in fact not disappointed by the fact that PC gamers are not pirating the game, but with the scene which preferred cracking Barbie's Day Dream, Homefront and Ghostbusters instead.

Quote: "Those silly kids from the scene need to get their fat asses up from the poker table and stop drinking beer! They should be cracking our game already."

Crytek's next game will not include Solid Shield protection, as it proved to be too hard to be cracked.

Last time steam had a midnight release it was flakey to say the least.. took hours to come online and when it did, went off straight away..

It installed the 1.1 patch immediately first time I tried to launch the game before it even activated so it has a built in phone home patch check in the main exe. TAGES release date check so not sure how anyone is playing this from UK then unless as expected there are that many PC pirates as I have a UK Retail copy! & Steam is not unlocked until tomorrow evening around 7PM last time I checked. UK retail should be midnight GMT so 1am Uk time.

Woops guess all the pirates better crawl back under their rocks I suppose ;) (or claim they have used a US proxy to trick Steam yeah right :rolleyes:)

Playing it the moment it unlocks is rather a bad time to play a game due to the influx of players wanting to play the game, which causes a lot of issues. It's best to play it Friday night.

If I'd bought the game and I couldn't play it until midnight due to stupid unlocking DRM I'd have no qualms with 'pirating' it for 24 hours whilst I waited. It would hardly make me morally bankrupt.

I haven't bought the game and won't be buying it (or anything else) for a while yet, though. No time to play.

Patch 1.1 has ruined it for me too :(

LOOKING UP YOUR ORDER
1. Go to http://www.eastore.com and click on the Customer Service link. You may also find other helpful information on this page.
2. Look up your order either through View recent order history and purchase details link at the top of the page.

This lets you see you order and there is a space for the unlock code, mine however is still blank, im checking every so often but I suspect I will get an email when the keys are out anyway

I'm excited about it, but i'll play it when its released, i'm not going to spit dummies out and think I should be able to play it earlier than everyone else for some unkown reason.

Its out when its out and thats it, why moan about it!

Why bother with 90% of the discussion on these forums? Because people are bored in work/etc and have nothing better to do.
