£479.99. Just sitting here wondering if I actually got the second gen or whether they've given me the first gen. However, if I go to the Argos site and type in "ipad" in the search box brings up the same list of iPads that I got earlier when I reserved my 64GB, with no other options except the same six that were on there when I placed my reservation. I can't open the brown box that it is in at the moment because my other half is out tonight, but when she gets home I'll ask if we can double check. I do really hope it is the second iPad and not the first.
 
The site only shows first gen ipads.

I'd say you have the 1st gen ipad tbh mate, Get it checked.
 
I got mine! A 64GB wifi iPad2. Waited 3 hours in the queue for the Birmingham store like a chump. They did give out free krispy kreme doughnuts though.

Yep kinda starting to realise that as well. The site isn't very clear about what is what, but it doesn't look like this will go in my favour :(
 
Got mine in Luton Comet with no queue or fuss - AFAIK only them and Argos had stock in the whole of the local area - Argos only got 2.
 
Email from the purple shirt company says the order is being processed and to expect delivery within 3 working days. Is this just a standard thing or do they actually have stock in that they will deliver? And do they send of packages on Saturday? :D
 
Apple Store Covent Garden sold out of all 3G models before 5pm.

While Apple Store Regent Street were selling all models until about 7:30-8pm, but they still have most left!

And they are open until 11PM!!!
 
I got a 64GB wifi from my local Comet at 5pm. I was amazed to find one locally, I called into the store at 4pm and was given given a number and told to call back by 5pm, there was a few people waiting and at 5pm I was served and got the iPad2.. shortly after they sold out.

Anyway it's the first iPad I've had but already love it, I'm now on a spending spree on itunes :)
 
I was going to wait up and order at midnight like I did last year, but when I saw it started out at 2-3 weeks I went to bed.

Looked at it this morning before work, still 2-3 weeks. Decided to leave it.

Got home tonight and thought "Meh, what the hell," and stuck an order though. :)

Decided not to bother with 3G this time round. I still haven't used up the free tenner on my Orange 3G sim, so you get the idea of just how little I've used the 3G. Haven't dropped capacity though, sticking with the 32GB (but going white :))

I can wait a month :eek:

GAH!!!!

I was working at the airport and literally flew back to Hitchin then to Stevenage to trawl the stores there!! i didnt think there would be any in Luton :( missed out n all :(

I just hoping that they do have stock, and it isn't some standard thing they put on every order email. Just seems odd that the Apple online store has a 2-3 week wait but PC World are saying I will get it in less than a week :o
 
2.5 hours queue at Bluewater Shopping Centre, and at the fruit store, I got a 16gb WHITE wifi IPad 2. It's all synced at home with apps. Now playing with it. :D Pics when back home.
 
I wonder what my chances are of picking one of these up at the Apple store in Brighton tomorrow. Did anyone go there today?

Can anyone who now has an iPad 2 and previously owned the original iPad comment on the sound? Are the iPad 2 speakers better / louder?
