What you think will it take all games for next few years or what?!! Aim is to have hot gaming rig that can take all games and not brake the bank!

0. Case: Cooler Master HAF X

1 CPU

Intel Core i7-2600K (great overclocker)

or . option: Intel Core i7 920 oc ed easy from 2.6 to 4.1ghz on air

(little uncertain which one is better value)

2. PSU Kingwin Lazer Gold 1000W Power Supply

3. GPU: gtx480 GBT SOC. 1 at first then 2 sli and 3 x sli

4. SOUND: Logitech z 5500 5.1

5. DISPLAY: s ifinity x3 24inch + with height adjust and tilt
120hz monitors

(any good suggestions?)

6. STORAGE: .ocz ssd 240GB Max Performance

7. MAMO: EVGA X58 3X SLI Classified Motherboard (Tri-SLI)

Is it bad ass or what? Suggestions and improvements welcome. thanks

You can't use three monitors with NV unless you have 2 cards. SORRY!
As for the case, i would get the Antec 1200 for more space and stuff.
i7 2600K or i5 2500K. Don't bother with the old gen
PSU, go for a well known brand. I reccomend Silverstone. If you go for the Antec 1200, then get the Antec CP1000 PSU. Personally, it's between Antec, Silverstone and Corsair for me.

Ask a mod to move it into General HW :D

EDIT: no offence, but i think you may need a bit more research. Just lurk around the forums for 2 weeks and take in everything you need. Ask as many questions as you need to.
If you **** up first time round then it'll be hard to correct later.

Don't bother with the logitech speakers. If you got that much to spend by a receiver and a couple of book shelf speakers to begin with and a decent pair of headphones.

I would look at the i7 2600k, or the 2500k cpus, but you would need to look at a P67 motherboard.

Hi there,

Do you already have any of this kit or are you planning to buy it all new?

Also, do you have an approximate budget you are working to?

Finally are you needing any other kit like a windows 7 licence, keyboard, mouse, sound card etc.?

why? EVGA X58 3X SLI Classified takes all core 7i cpus!

Unfortuantely it doesn't, it only accepts the 1st generation core i7 CPUs (three digit model numbers), the newer and (generally)faster second gen core CPUs (four digit model numbers) require new s1155 boards to work.

If your buying 3x 120Hz monitors i presume you'll be trying out nVidia's 3D surround technology. This requires 2 cards in SLi to run.
So in your case 2 x GTX480's. Either way this setup looks to be breaking the bank!

I've got half x case, and logitech s5500 speakers. So looks like i need new x58 mambo. Which one is best for oc and 2 -3 way sli? The budget is to get best bang for buck. But please no ATI. I wanna go with Nvidia now...(less crashing)
