Lorry V Corsa

Wild! Poor truck driver.

Damn right.

The Corsa got a relatively light glancing blow from the truck, the driver (of the truck) saw it (the bell-end in the Corsa) & took evasive, hence the roll over, poor *******. :(

Worst nightmare for any trucker, to be faced by an on-coming car in the wrong direction!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when I was joining the A90 from Porthlethen there were people doing U-Turns on the dual carriageway and driving the wrong way down the one way joining road to avoid the jam. I had to drive off the road to let them past.

For a second I thought it was me that was driving the wrong way up the road.

Anyway, it was this very thing that caused the accident in the first place.

****ing moron, not only did he/she cause an accident and scared the **** out of the 2 trucks, but also ruined a lot of drivers day by ****ing up the road.

Take away that Corsa drivers license and never give it back. I never understand how you can go down the wrong way on a motorway/dual carriageway without being on drugs or mentally ill. Add a couple of months of prison too.

**** that looked nasty! WTF was the Corsa driver doing?

OT: Does anyone here have one of those Roadhawk things? They sound kinda cool for clearing yourself of any blame in an accident. Or can the Police demand to see the footage if they pull you for speeding/whatever and thus you'll wish you didn't have one?

I always think about fitting something like this to my car, with two buttons behind my steering wheel; one button to save the last ~ 5 mins of footage, and the other to destroy it if it would do me more harm than good ;)

Corsa driving like, well a Corsa driver :p

/massive generalisation

On a serious note, a very stupid ploy by the Corsa. What the hell were they thinking! Glad no one died though.

I doubt they even had time to realise what was happening.

They just saw the first lorry and swerved, which then put them right in the path of the second.

Can't say it'd be a particularly nice experience.

There's a cut+paste from some newspaper in the youtube comments. Apparently a 20 year old woman is being prosecuted over this.

According to another comment from someone who claims to have been there, it looks like the lorry driver came off with the worst injuries, presumably due to his cab overturning. The other lorry driver is in shock. The woman was uninjured and busily sending text messages to people after the crash (and possibly during it too, though that's pure speculation on my part)

OMFG. That Corsa driver surely has to be banned for life from driving. That trucker should be given an award for saving their life and others. He managed to swerve to avoid and pull it back so it didn't go into the central res.

I bloody hope she gets sent down.

People like this should never have the right to drive!

Good grief, shoot the Corsa driver seems to be a popular knee jerk reaction.
To be fair to the Corsa driver, they've been driving down a one way road, that then merges with another lane, which if there's vehicles coming down it or the road it splits to, it would be obvious wasn't the same direction as yours, but if there wasn't any other traffic?. The only other indication that the other lane is opposing are arrows on the road, obvious but there was also rain on the day in question. It isn't impossible for a Sat Nav to send you a confusing way. Just before getting to that bit, if they were using a Sat Nav it would have been telling them to keep in the right lane. There is evidently a sign missing just before the road splits to the slip road, is this meant to be a sign saying "Death awaits those who drive down here!"?
Maybe they had an aggressive driver sitting on their rear bumper distracting the hell out of them? They are in a Corsa after all and were likely holding someone up as the dual carriageway became a single lane.

Just saying, Angles and all that. Easy to write off as stupid Corsa owner/woman, especially on an internet forum. Look at it a little closer though and there seems to be some mitigating circumstances apparent or possible.
