Will windows 95 support all the latest games. planning on going from windows 7 to windows 95 for better os performance...

Just go back to DOS 6.22, it'll be even lighter on HDD usage although it probably won't see all of your drive.

Can't get DirectX 10 or higher on anything below Vista (ignoring the odd failed attempt at backward porting) infact not even sure DX9 is supported below XP, also lot of recent games require atleast XP for memory functions.

Not the best idea the OP ever had.

Windows 95 went to DirectX 8.0, not that any of his current hardware will have Windows 95 drivers available. Max supported RAM is 512MB, and it only uses one CPU/core.

98 is same underlying rubbish with Shiny bits on, still buggier than than 95 OSR2 though. 98 SE was OK.

Windows 95 is so lightweight, you're games will fly. Make sure you clean your registry every day and have no more than two processes running. It's also worth removing any desktop icons, wallpaper & switching to 16bit colours to gain a few more fps.
