Is it weird to put chewing gum behind your ear?

Slightly off topic but ..... how many people chew gum whilst out for a drink? ...... I see loads of this and can't for the life of me, understand why; it's gotta spoil the taste of almost any drink.

As for the behind the ear thing; yes it's odd but I'd rather you did that than stuck it under a seat/table etc.

See Violet put it behind her ear because it was a competitive thing to see how long she could chew the same piece of gum for.

You sir, are just stupid. Just get another bit of gum afterwards and stop being disgusting. It's only gum, its not the most expensive thing in the world.

Are these people you see mainly drinking alcopops or lager? If so then particularly in the case of alcopops it's unlikely to make much of a difference since it's already a sugary sweet drink.

If you're drinking Chateuneuf Du Pape then maybe it's a waste but for some drinks it probably doesn't matter hugely especially if you're drinking for the intoxication rather than taste.

I don't think he meant that hes chewed it, from reading the op...

How does the chewing gum mash into your ear/hair if it's a stick/pellet of chewing gum? Surely it just falls out? And then there's the reference to Violet Beauregarde who chews the gum before putting it behind her ear...

Dirty. Just dont take it if you don't want it. Why even accept it from your friend?
