My iphone has started to develop a small crack (which i assume will get bigger in time) in the casing near to the charging port at the bottom.

Is there anything i can do to get this fixed?

My iphone is covered under applecare

I think it happens, i know a few people who have had the same problem and they've all looked after their phones. It is what i consider to be a weak point on the phone

yeh its a common problem. If its still covered under warranty or applecare they will fix/swap it for you.

My white 3GS (18 months old) now has about 15 tiny cracks at the bottom

I have the exact problem with my 3GS and got it replaced by Apple with minimum fuzz. Make an appointment with the bar (Genius) first.

Take it down to the Apple store, go in and say you are disappointed and you believe there is a structural flaw, you might be lucky.

Might give this a try as it will improve resale value if they do replace it.

Mine is jailbroken though which always makes me worry about them refusing to serve me

Apple will actually replace your iPhone out of warranty for this issue.

2 of my friends have had theirs replaced this way.

This is true, I've swapped out mine, my Dad's and two of my friend's for this issue. It's a known fault. Just drop into an apple store and they should sort it for you. If they don't, visit another one!
