For me, it has to be the turd driver who continually sits on the rear bumper when there's no chance of overtaking or the driver in front who drives as though they are following a herd of turtles and there is nothing in front for miles!

So what's your pet hate?

Old people. I bet most of them wouldn't even pass their driving test if they were forced to take it again to make sure they're fit to be on the road, and that they are fully aware of the highway code.

Everything and everyone.

People who under-take. Even when you're sat at the speed limit.
If there's room for somebody to pass (safely) on the left then you're in the wrong lane.
Anyway, you won't be sat at the limit, you'll be doing slightly less ;)

Thats what I was gona say.. then thought the guy must be being sarcastic.. ?

People who drive at 5 miles an hour under the speed limit right up until a traffic light at amber, they then jump through just as it's turning to red.

And the old favorite of 2 trucks driving next to each other on the motorway, love it. :)

The people who tailgate me for miles and then overtake as soon as we arrive at the short dual carriageway section, even though it is a very wide road with no oncoming traffic at all and they could have overtaken at any point.

Other drivers. Like people in general, the sane/intelligent ones appear to be in the minority but its more likely that the idiots are just more vocal/visible.

People who dont read signs - There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road that is only in operation for 4 hours a day (2 morning 2 afternoon) to cover rush hour. 2 sets of drivers are just as bad as eachother, the ones who know its a bus lane but dont care and drive in it all the time and block people off from getting in at the end, and the others who refuse to drive in it at any point and instead decide its for merging into at the end so dont bother indicating AND then give you a dirty look for driving in it. READ THE SIGNS.

People who speed for no reason everywhere they go and drive up your arse getting angry with you because you dont speed up to accomodate him.

Overly cautious people - braking for no reason, hovering always around 10-15 mph below every speed limit. Wont pull out of junctions no matter how large a gap there is because they can see a car somewhere up the road and it could be doing 200mph.

Lorries and other heavy vehicles overtaking on dual carrigways and motorways who are doing about 1/2mph faster and take around 5 minutes to overtake forcing all the numpties to dive into the fast lane causing everyone behind them to brake. (2 sets in one here)

People who use the right hand lane for queue jumping but say 'its for overtaking' when clearly they are just diving past people at traffic lights because they dont think they should be behind anybody else no matter what traffic or queues are about.

People who take aaaaaages to pull away from traffic lights. Like waiting until there is a 7 car gap before pulling away.

People in slow vehicles (caravans/tractors) who refuse to pull over when theres space to allow the giant queue thats formed behind them to get passed on overly windy/busy roads.

Thats all I can think of for now. Roadrage rant over.

There's generally too many drivers on the road that just lack general common sense, I just let them get on with it and drive to accommodate. Getting wound up on the road is not a good thing to do.

Why not move over then?

Seriously nothing annoys me then following someone over a roundabout onto a dual carriage-way and they simply keep right when the left hand lane is clear. All because they want to turn right two miles down the road. So what if they are doing 50mph, 60mph or 100mph, GET OVER!

When I come off a roundabout I want to accelerate upto the speed limit or drive at the speed I wish to drive at and to have someone stay in the right hand lane when the left lane is clear is very annoying.

My car is pretty quick, but when I am coming over a roundabout I move over to the left lane and only use the right lane when overtaking, because sometimes there are cars or bikes quicker than me or who may wish to drive well above the speed limit and as I am not the law I move over and allow them to go on there way.

So how come you feel your in your right to hold them up?

My other pet hate is those who drive at 40mph everywhere, whether its a 30 zone or national speed limit zone, 40mph is not suitable for either and greatly annoying.

women

lets face it, anywhere in this thread where the word 'people' has been used, 'women' would be the much more suitable and fitting choice
