This must be against competition laws?

On second thoughts, can a person corner the market like this? I'm thinking of the recent ruling about that landlady who won her case against Sky. Thereby allowing her to subscribe to Greek tv to show Premier League games.

Completely reversed situations - DrHouse is complaining about the equivalent of the 'landlady'.

Oh how i miss their corny goodness :(

A massive worldwide monopoly abusing anti-trust (which means abusing your monopoly position) is completely different from a dude with a small business.

Who said anything about a small business? I'd bet otherwise given they have a monopoly at the shopping centre.

Thanks, for the info everyone.

This is just one of the ideas I am looking at so it may not go anywhere but I am still keeping an open mind. I dont want to post what is is but its nothing really special just a snack type food thats is popular in america.

The sky Vs karen murphy case was really quit different to this.

Microsoft are currently the holders of having received the biggest fine in the EU for anti-competitive market actions.

Was something like 1.2billion euros. They can fine a company up to 10% of its annual turnover from the year preceding court action. Note that is 10% of the turnover, not profit.

Currywurst? Please let it be this!

Anyway why not strike a similar deal with smaller shopping precincts (or such like) and go from there?

Have a read of Lord Sugar's Autobiography to see how you don't let such things beat you. If you can sell and the product is good you will find a way...

Pretzels or philly cheese steak! :-)

I can keep 'em coming if you like.... my wife is American lol.

Sloppy joes perhaps?
'Hoggies' ? (Basically what Subway sell).
Corn dogs are ace though...
Fennel cake (I think that's what it's called)
Doughnuts of some description?

BTW.. I do not think anything that is primarily based on cinnamon or peanut butter will be a 'hit' here.

You can only use VISA to buy Olympics tickets. If you haven't got a VISA card, go and get one!

Buying 'exclusive rights' is an unfortunate part of every day business.

I dont think theres much you can do about it. Its like the way coke and pepsi set up exclusive deals with places so you only see one and not the other.

Speaking of American stuff, I've been buying a lot of stuff from an American import website lately. Tried Welchs grape soda, hawaiian punch, fanta grape, pepsi wild cherry and coke zero cherry. Also tried Fruity Pebbles, an absolutely delicious breakfast cereal!
