Anyone else feel freaked out when going into an apple store?

One more thing, I really like the apple bags. Kinda feel abit pampered when I was there. Maybe I should buy a mac pro air?

You go into an apple store, buy a completely overpriced headphone and brag about it on the internet where you most likely could have gotten something far better at a much lower price.

FAIL

Yea I know the headphones are crazy expensive but the NC is amazing. I'm glad I have these for when I travel.

I agree it is a very weird cultish experience.

I like the fact that they have stores though, it makes customer service and repairs a very pleasant experience. I live about 15 minutes from the regent st store, and it was nice that I can just pop in when i have had problems with my iphone and macbook pro.

Pampered? suffocated and an idiot was more like it. They where like do you want to open it here. I thought yes after hearing about dead pixels and backlight bless. But they looked at you like they where expecting a 5 year old reaction at his birthday getting this years cool toy.
No it's a piece of equipment yes I want it, but it's crazy.

It's pretty scary. The worst is the fanboys that all wait outside the shop when things are released and the staff all come out and high five everyone. It's all very cult like.

Makes me cringe so much.

Can't stand apple stores, last time I went it was to buy a wall socket charger for my ipod, for one it was upstairs meaning I had to navigate past the 50 odd people creaming themselves over ipads and getting in the way, then once I finally find the bloody thing I spend a few minutes looking for a till when one of those smug tossers they call staff came over and let me know "they don't have tills" and making me look like I'd just fallen out of a tree.

Never again.

I actually need to catch a release at the apple store to see this crazy behaviour lol.

Its worse than those damn pesky muslims trying to do the same...only thing with them is that they arent charging you an arm and leg for that priviledge:p:D

But no i dont feel freaked out when i go into an apple store...much like any other store but with lots more fancy stuff on display:p

Nope those pesky muslims don't charge but they'll take the arm anyways:p

I was also really really confused about where I would checkout my purchase. Couldn't see any tills or anything. Everyone there had either an ipod or iphone in their hands. A lot of them were also sipping coffee from star bucks.

I find the apple store to be quite scary; it's like some dystopian sterile future ngihtmare. Genius Bar;

"Larger Genius teams are headed up by the "Lead Genius," who schedules workers, makes judgment calls, and handles customer service issues at the Genius Bar. The Lead Genius is assisted by the "Genius Admin," who is in charge of the administrative paperwork, backing up customer units, and other daily tasks.

Geniuses in training (referred to as "GYO," or Grow-Your-Own Geniuses) are not certified.."

That seems to make me nauseous.

Yes, it is rather weird.

It's like an American embassy when you walk in there... their soil, etc.

McDonalds was the same when they started it over here, the 'hyperactive American' style just doesn't work very well and gets English peoples backs up so they stopped doing it in the end.

They did have an excellent range of products though. Non apple products as well.

When I walked in, there was a line of about 6 staff standing in a row at the back of the store. They were in formation and were all in the same stance like a platoon of soldiers would be in.

You can't fault the products, and the customer service is second to none, but the way it is delivered is dodgy at best :p
