Either stubborness or lack of other midfield options, ones a personal failing, the other a proffesional.


He certainly has no redeeming qualities as a footballer.

He does get attached to the occasional player but you can usually see why due to their years of loyalty and success in years passed; Gibson has scored a few good goals but I would expect most professionals to do the same with the number of shots he has per goal.
 
So with Utd, Chelsea and Spurs winning...the pressure is on Arsenal to win tomo....and we all know how we collapse under pressure:p.

Definitely need 3 pts tomo....anything less will be a disaster.
 
BAE is a legend. He is one of the coolest players on the pitch for spurs. On top of that his link up play with Bale is sensational.

There are many times when he has done something impossibly calm when spurs have looked shaky and that moment has helped galvinise the whole team. Against Real- he did some crazy tackle on Ronaldo and set bale free in the first half. That was the moment that actually helped spurs turn up for the first half in madrid.

He does makes mistakes but he also produces moments of genius. In a spurs team I would take his calm over just about anything else. Our back line is hideous at donkey clearances. BAE reminds them that a short pass to Modric after a shimmy is a lot more effective :)

Well I think we can all laugh at Sunderland fans all with the "I'd prefer the 24mil, Bent is our third best striker, the team plays better without him" lot, infact, I think it might be closer to a hysterical laughing fit.

Also we can laugh at the daftness of Brucie, he's trying the "he could have stayed a bit longer and not left us in the lurch" routine, but its been clear that Bent asked to leave in Summer, Bruce/Sunderland were given a massive long warning to look for a replacement, and instead they played the waiting game and got caught out, very badly.

They are comftably the worst form team in the league and genuinely in trouble if they don't pick up a win soon, normally you'd go, 5-6 bad games, can happen to anyone, but Sunderland its been longer, and worse. You still imagine 2 wins won't be realistically that hard for them, but they are cutting it closer and closer. The wrong results in the other games could have seen them what, 3 points off the relegation zone.

He is in effect 3rd for us now, just the new guy is out with a knee injury for a few more weeks (but as Lindegaard is very new, but for most of PIG's OT career he has been no 2)

All I was meaning initially is that I cant see PIG getting a 1st choice offer from anyone in the top 10 in the EPL - and even some clubs lower than that have better keepers. Carson & Begovic are the only keepers in the top 15 EPL clubs (as of today) that are arguably at risk from PIG becoming available imo and even then I dont know how much Utd would hope to get back, and whether it wouild be worth the respective clubs buying him

Imo that makes PIG average, if (a lot) more clubs could easily put him in as No 1 then he would indeed be above average

edit - My mouth feels all dirty from the realisation that I kinda have to support Liverpool on Monday against City, which hopefully gives Spurs a better chance at finishing top 4 (imo they merit CL next season more than City, cant see Liverpool getting that spot although they do have some 6 pointers still to play)

loltorres, still looks like a waste of money. Chelsea were also lucky to get 3 points today, their goal shouldn't have stood (FK to al-habsi).
 
I'd rather see Liverpool win the League for the rest of time ahead of a club like City.
