Going to lose my Dad soon

Damn, sorry to hear this mate, my thoughts are with you and your family.
And remember the OcUK posse are here for you.

It hasn't really hit me yet.
To loose my mum and my dad in just four years is not fair
I feel I must have been genghis khan in a previous life to be punished like this.

Sorry to hear that mate, horrible thing to think about, and I can't even begin to understand how hard it is :(

Hope you're ok. All the best.

Sounds like you were there for your dad and thats what counts in the end

We went to see him every day since he has been in hospital, 9 days in total.
We stayed all night and all day with him on friday. ( he was incoherent)
Had to come away and get some sleep last night, Saturday.
He went at 6.15am this morning (sunday).
I knew it would be a risk to leave and kind of wish I didn't.

Truly sorry to hear about your Dad :(

It's just coming up to 3 years since my Dad died suddenly but I'm fortunate that at least I've still got my Mum. It's still awful though as I was so close to him and he was a great friend as well as a parent.

Hope your brother loses the obsession with material objects thing. Hopefully it's just a way of dealing with things, although I know my Mum lost out a lot due to one of her sisters doing similar when their Mum died. :/

Try not to feel too bad. From things I've heard from people in similar situations, this is quite common. I know my Grandad died shortly after everyone had left the hospital for the night.

The main thing is you were there when he knew you were and you kept supporting him :) Very easy to blame yourself but do try not to.

Look after yourself.

Thank you so so much. That really does help. thanks x
It is comforting to hear of other people's situations.
Makes me feel less alone.

My condolences.
I lost my aunt not long ago, and they gave my sister 12 hours to live luckily she pulled through after the accident.
My thoughts are with you.
