What winds you up most when you're driving?

65-75 is just far too slow on the modern motorway, most of which are safe enough (road surface, visibility, etc) for speeds in excess of 100 (depending on the car)

Best thing to do is just go for it then, i think a 6 week ban will sort you out, it worked for me :)

I do go for it and have no points, most of the motorway patrols are looking for boy racers and people who cut in and out of lanes which I try to not do, rather than for people driving at speed but sensibly.

My current car doesn't feel right at above 100 though, needs tracking/alignment to be sorted for one I think.

I just bung cruise on at an indicated 75 (72/3 gps) and just drive the entire journey at that, lightly applying throttle before indicating out for an overtake and then merge back in. Simples.

Rypt might find it boring but I find it immensely comfortable and quiet and can spend time thinking about stuff. Like what I'm going to eat when I reach my destination? Do I need to stop to take a leak? Was that roadkill I just passed a badger or a fox? What is going through the mind of the numpty 3 cars ahead with his no indicating, lane hopping shens?

If I have a passenger I might ask them as well :p

I then put on some music and the time just passes easily enough.

Bahhh dont worry about that im sure you will be fine at just over 100, i think 110 should get the job done, try waving at the copper as you pass him, see if he's still not interested :)

Anyway this is only a suggestion, look on it as therapy to help get you over this need for speed, a ban is very therapeutic, let me tell you ;)

Anyone not driving in accordance with the road conditions, really cheeses me off, if you can't do near the speed limit in a newish car in dry and clear conditions then quite frankly you shouldn't be on the road.

I've done 120 in my old Celica past the unmarked motorway patrol cars ...

Ok now i dont normally suggest this but i can see you are an extreme case, listen carefully.....

1 select copper in distance

2 accelerate to a speed over 100 you feel comfortable with

3 draw level with copper with full beam on and fogs

4 lower passenger window and beep horn to attract his attention

5 call him a ****

6 accelerate away laughing.

If after that lot you still aint banned, drop me an e mail for one of my special courses on how to get a ban.

Could always wait till the Missus puts her tops in the washer then turn the Temp up shrinking said Garments exaggerating her assets, Then get a ban. :D

Hang on we at cross lines here i was on about a forum ban for being drunk not drunk driving, i draw the line at that.

What winds me up is people who clearly don't deserve to have a license and do the most terrible driving known to man and nearly cause a accident, yet they look at you as it is your fault. Mainly old farts and women....

When i am going over a roundabout and some dips**t to the left thinks it is there right of way and then nearly cause a accident and start f'in and blinding behind window whilst speeding off.... This is something that stays with me all week ticking at me, making me want to go out driving with a gun to get rid of these idiots!

I am getting cheesed off just thinking about it!

The kind of people what say "Never been in a accident but seen thousands of them", f'in hate them!

I think there should be some kind of free compulsory test every 3-5 years to see if you are still fit to be driving on the roads. As i am seeing it more and more in last year!
