Do you tidy your rubbish at KFC/McD's/BK?

Happens all the time. The worst time is when you see a bunch of teenagers on their own eating there. Not only do they make a mess of the table but also the floor the seats and even the walls!

Oddly enough, I never used to but the last thread on this we had in GD changed my mind on the matter and now I always clear up after myself.

See people do change their minds on the internet.

The amount I pay for a mcdonalds, I'd expect the buggers to clear it up themselves.

However it's common courtesy so I do clean up after myself.

Where did this convention of clearing your own table come from?

Mcdonalds don't actually ask you to clear your tables down afterwards, the bins being out there mean jack.

I'm not expected to clear my table at any other restaurant, so why should i at McDonalds?

oh, and when people say its common courtesy etc, same applies with "proper" restaurants.

Make my own mess, i clean up after myself...seeing these filthy dirty scumbags leaving their mess lying around makes me wonder if they are like that at home...

not really

because normally when you're finished in a so called proper restaurant a decent waiter/ waitress will clean up right after and you dont have that in the fast food places

edit: so i'm not saying you have to clean it up but i have been brought up like this. also it kinda is normal on the continent so i guess english people are just messy :p

so what? Nandos, you pay at the till. then just walk out once you are finished. You dont have to wait for a waitress to pick your plates up

I take my tray and shove the used contents in the bin and put it on the side. That's what they are there for.

I don't wipe down the table and such, but out of a common deceny I don't just walk off leaving all the rubbish there how I would expect a ***** to.

I always put my rubbish in the bin, but I also think why the **** should I? Mcdonalds make an absolute fortune and they expect you to tidy your rubbish after eating? they call themselves a restaraunt! so get some god damn waiters then like every other restaraunt ffs! :D

Home.
Mcdonalds don't actually ask you to clear your tables down afterwards, the bins being out there mean jack.

You're not that good on picking up signals are you? If the bins don't mean jack, then why does the establishment have them all around the place? Decoration? hmmm
I'm not expected to clear my table at any other restaurant, so why should i at McDonalds?

Because they have bins around exactly for that purpose. And because they have no servers/waitresses. The only restaurants where you don't have to clean up after yourself are those that:
a) Have paid waitresses to serve you food, and
b) don't have bins around you.

so what? Nandos, you pay at the till. then just walk out once you are finished. You dont have to wait for a waitress to pick your plates up

No, but there is a waitress around if you need something and it is clear to everybody that part of their job is to clean up after you -and treat you well in general- as part of their service (hence the occasional service charge which should be a big hint).

McD and all fast food places: You get things yourself (salt, paper towels, straws) and clean up after yourself.
Restaurants (even budget ones like Nandos): You ask the waitress for all that stuff who cleans up after you as well.

Quite a difference I would think and virtually everybody seems to accept it as the norm. Nothing wrong with not accepting it but you can't argue that it doesn't make any sense!

I don't go there as I'll be violently ill, but yes, I'd clean up after myself. As others said, it's 'mostly' trashy, dumb people that go there and eat that ****, so one would expect them to be a bit hopeless when it comes to the cleaning part of things.
