Anyone have any recommendations on where to find decently fitted shirts.
I've got a 42" chest and a 35" waist which seems to mean anything I find to fit across my chest bellows out at the waist giving me a nice tent type look
I find I can get away with some of the slim fit styles you get in places like Burton but they can be a bit tight over my chest and on my arms.
The only other option I can think of is buying shirts to fit my chest and then having them tailored into my waist.
I'm not looking to spend huge amounts of money.

I have a 45" chest and 32" waist

I feel your pain.... I've struggled with this issue for a long long time.

Zara is probably the best place out there for shirts that are thin round the waist. Unfortunately for me though they are far too tight on my arms also since they are about 16.5" unflexed.

Should okay for people who don't workout though.

Charles tyrwhitt or TM Lewin - either the slim fit, or tailored fit. Hawes and Curtis possibly as well.

Have a Google.

Burton shirts are not too good...

Just get it taken in like you would have a pair of trousers taken up at a decent dry cleaners, turns any shirt into a fitted shirt for less than a tenner.

TM Lewin slim fit does the job for me, I have a 30-32" waist and 43" chest. Zara shirts also fit nice, but not as a good as TM Lewin.

Next. Their designs/colours can be a bit hit & miss but the Tailored Fit is excellent and the quality is good. I've at least 4 that have lasted me 2+ years at least.

Im 6ft 2 and similar dimensions.

M&S 16.5inch neck work shirts are pretty good, especially the more expensive ones. Buy my suits from M&S too, good fit for chunky legs on the trousers and 42 chest is spot on!

For casual stuff get ASOS preimer then just spam order loads of stuff and get the stuff you don't want picked up for free.

I get my shirts tailored, it really does not cost that much from 30 to 70 quid a pop depending on material.

The fit is so much better then a normal off the shelf shirt and you can pick exactly what style you want.

Try some of the travelling tailors from hong kong that come to london from time to time.

i went looking for a nice shirt in manchester, tried all the designer stuff, armani, gucci, vivienne westwood etc but they fit crap, ended up with a small slim fit from next which fit great.

My chest when I was at the peak of my training was 54-56... The clothes you get for a chest that big are crazily huge!

You can get a trial shirt for $30 inc p+p. I have the same problem (broad shoulders/chest, small waist) and going tailor made is the best way to get something that fits right.

Its bloody hard isn't it. All these women complaining about clothes not fitting properly and I swear that guys that are not podgy but have a big chest are worst off.

Its pretty hard to find stuff that fits nicely when you have a 32" waist and 44-46" chest.
