Guys has there been anymore news on when the crysis DX11 patch is going be released ??

crytek have confirmed they are working on it and that they will update us closer to when it's finished, my estimate is 3-6 months

I think there'll be MAXIMUM WAIT.

and then MAXIMUM DISAPPOINTMENT. Seeing as DX11 is only being released as a patch I doubt it will make too much difference visually. After all, the original game in dx9 could be made to look almost identical to the dx10 version with a few tweaks.

Think there already a lot of disappointed people with this game being released without DX11 support..

This most of been one the main games many people with an highend DX11 card was waiting to be released and then it get released without any DX11 support

like i keep telling people tho dx 11 is not going to improve the game. there are litterally hundreds of other things that need fixing before they even think about patching dx 11 into the mix.

I'd be more concerned with everyone having finished the game and then put it away for the next one...

I've decided to wait for the patch before finishing it, enjoyed the first 2/3 of the game but then grew quickly tired of it. A DX11 patch may re-ignite the spark.

so basiclally they will bring out the patch when you've finished the game and moved onto another

, this is a disgrace and should be dx11 from the start. the tight arses who own dx9 cards should be the ones to wait for patches

Good thing I haven't even finished crysis yet! Then I'll be moving onto Warhead, then finally I'll get crysis 2 if it tickles my fancy

i also haven't finished warhead yet and i bought it around the time it got released

But I pre-ordered crysis 2 on steam...But still haven't got around to playing it yet..

Crysis 2 is a great game, it's fun and just easier to manage your suit etc than the 1st crysis which my £550( at the time) gtx295 can't even play propper. plus the visuals are really good. I bet in dx11 it will be amazing

Already played, completed it and uninstalled it. Won't reinstall it. Won't be buying another Crytek game on release.

not really they made an announcement to state they "did not confirm a dx11 patch"

Do not get u, it's great looking and fun game, I'm enjoying it, still got a couple hours left on it, dx11 won't Change how it plays (IMO an enjoyabe game), it's much fun cloaking and moochin around causing havoc

this isn't dependant on it's code version.....? Lol
