Looks like Silent Hill.....

Last i-series I went to, we spent over 200 on chinese.... probably enough food to feed a country!

I can't remember the name but me and the guys I went with a few years ago went to a chinese restaurant in Newbury and DAMN it was nice! Shame I haven't been for 4 years, would love to go again :(

Yeah same spent so much money on pizza, the lovely man brought the pizza to the iseries for us, didnt want none of that crap they sell at iseries..

I've never been to a LAN event but they looks sick. Is it just you and your mates that set these up? Because nearly all of mine have consoles and I live in Derby which is a **** hole and i'm assuming there will be no LAN events anywhere near me.

:(

:(

The LAN event i went too was in reading, Newbury..Only a few hours drive from you haha ;)

Any good LAN party should have beer, ok, I've never been to a LAN party but I think they should!

Random question: was it a wireless LAN party or a wired LAN party!

Went to a couple of i series, CGS lans and ones up and down the country. It's a good laugh, we'd play our tournament matches, have a pint at the pub, play another match, repeat for about 6 hours. Then back to the pub and ordered dominos, our biggest bill was £150.

i series at stoneleigh was top quality, i do miss it tbh but we all just meet up in lpool or manc now and get on it all day. LAN went downhill around a year ago, started to get really expensive.

Recession i guess? It got to a point where you were looking at £110 for a thurs-sun ticket. You can go to creamfields for a bit more and have a far better time, ofcourse thats entirely subjective to each person but i'd prefer a rave/gig/concert than LAN.

Food and beer started to rise, as soon as a pint went over £2.50 I couldn't handle it anymore :D

edit: And the prize money for CoD4 was at a lovely £10k at i34, by i38 it was barely £2k so :/

How do you folks set up a LAN party? Just curious.. I don't have any friends who are into PC gaming and wouldn't have the room in my flat..

Big router??

David

Depends what size, few mates no big deal and the LAN element I doubt would ever be an issue, but in a large scale one you'd have to find the appropriate site to host it and as Thorpy pointed out, that gets expensive.

£2.50 for a pint! blasphemy!

Lol fail.

Shoebury? No wonder you're socialising in the school. It's either that or Asda carpark.
Basically it wasn't that I didn't want to say, was more for security reasons, but my mate who went said, so yeah it is Shoeburyness, but a bloody good LAN night
