Anyone who watches West Ham regularly will know this award is fully deserved not only for this season's performances but Parker has played to a consistently high standard in a struggling team for three seasons now.

This recognition is fantastic for the player and will give the fans a much needed boost after another awful league campaign.

Well done Scott. You've done us proud.

The players gave it to the player that the media have hyped up for most of the season, while the media gave it to a player that his fellow pro's over looked and whom rarely gets any headlines :p

Well at least it's not as bad a choice as the Fans Player of the Year - Raul Meireles

Clearly Liverpool fans have given up on their team winning anything, so they have taken matters into their own hands!

I really rate Scott Parker, and it's great to see him getting some recognition. I really wonder what his career would have been like if he'd remained injury free and gone to a big club instead of Newcastle.

Agreed lol.
Oh well suppose he adapted to a new league and being played out of position for most part of the season, and goal of the season.

Gratz parker

Good player, never got the break he should have done at a big club.
Yes he played for Chelsea, but at the time when they were buying everybody and everything in sight so never got a fair crack of the whip.

No more deserving than Bale was. He's had a decent season but it's been overhyped because he's been playing in an under-performing side and appears to be 1 of the few players that's put much effort in.

The likes of Vidic and Tevez have been considerably better than Bale and Parker.

goal of the season?

The volley vs Wolves.

This tbh.

I don't really have a problem with it because he's a decent player doing a good job and seems an alright guy, realistically however there have been a few better players.

All it does though is show that determination and 'heart' are more highly prized than skill.

fair play though.

Berbatov's was better than Rooney's imo, the control on his knee then looping it into the corner? Serious skill, and yes it was better than Meirelelrieleses. :p
